Cape Town, Planted Pavilion

Residential

Nestled in breathtaking natural surroundings south of Cape Town, the Planted private residence is an example of perfect harmony between architecture and landscape, where the Minotti furnishing pieces create ideal spaces for relaxation and socialising.

The use of modern geometries and exquisite materials enhances the beauty of the setting without ever overpowering it. The project not only celebrates the connection with its hosting environment but makes it an integral part of the living experience: waterfalls follow the natural slope and the downward movement of the water, meeting the solidity of the cantilevered concrete, creates a contrast that accentuates the tranquility and majesty of the landscape. Meanwhile, the roof, entirely covered in plants, softens the silhouette of the structure, highlighting its harmony with its surroundings. The large windows frame the view of the exterior and dissolve the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering a seamless interaction between the home and the nature in which it is immersed.

In this elegant setting, the Minotti furnishing pieces seamlessly blend refinement, comfort, and functionality, finding their perfect place. The iconic Florida seating system, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, is the protagonist of the living area with its soft volumes and fabric in a shade of green which echoes the view of the outdoors. The Daiki Outdoor armchairs, designed by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, complete the area, creating a seamless connection with the adjacent dining area. Here, the Daiki Outdoor little dining armchairs are paired with the Quadrado table, also by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, which, thanks to its elegant simplicity and versatility, suits various settings.

The Planted private residence is a true example of the lasting harmony between architecture and the nature that surrounds it, striking a perfect balance between built and organic elements. The design captures the natural beauty of the landscape, blending effortlessly into the environment yet standing out in a subtle yet distinctive way.
